Why Malayalam

Writing for readers who think and feel in this language

I write these stories and essays in Malayalam, and I want them to feel at home with the people who read them. Malayalam is the language I think in, and it carries the textures of Kerala's streets, monsoon evenings, and shared conversations more naturally than any other.

Some thoughts need a little more room than a short post gives them. This blog is where those longer pieces live, and where readers across Kerala can find them without noise.

Our approach

Slow writing, alongside new media

Slow, considered writing in a regional language has its own pace and its own reward. It asks readers to settle in and follow a thought to its end.

Vlogs are part of the same conversation. When a video belongs beside a piece of writing, I share the link too, so the two can be read and watched together without either one taking over.
